Dear All,
We regret to inform you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, the upcoming film festival Patna Cine Festa, scheduled for April 11–15, 2024, has been rescheduled to June 19–23, 2024. This decision is made in accordance with the model code of conduct enforced during the 18th general election for Lok Sabha.
We understand the inconvenience this may cause, but it is imperative for us to adhere to legal and regulatory obligations. We assure you that the festival will maintain its standard and integrity despite the change in dates.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Warm regards,
Team PCF'24
We, CINEYATRA ( Founded on 12.12.2012) a social organization started with futuristic vision to promote Art, Culture and Cinema. Our motive is to inspire the people who have lost the touch of real culture of music (Folk), paintings, sculpture, literature and cinema.
Cineyatra will strive to be a platform for exchange – of ideas, of films, of communities. By picking out the best of regional and world cinema for small town and rural audience, it will ultimately aim for a collective culture evolution. It will strive to inculcate a love and appreciation for different kinds of films – a sort of proto audience “training”. Recognizing that our local art forum are not to be discarded in the pursuit of a new novelty, the festival seeks to incorporate. Open local our forum – an open space where also interact with painters, salptors, local artisans, folk musicians and like cineyatra will celebrate not just cultural but artistic diversity while at the same time fostering their inclusion into the melting pot that is cinema. By traveling, the reach of the festival is greater, leading to the foundations of a spared out network that will be of service to the cinema of the future. An important aim is to form an open database of artists from the areas covered so that not only are we connected to them and vice versa, but also so that they can be connected to each other.
Cineyatra Documentary Development Initiative (CDDI) is a nonprofit programme that actively support the storytellers with alternative voice by providing them with training, invaluable exposure to contemporary documentary trends and initiating tangible dialogue. We inspire visual storytellers who dare to risk, innovate and take up challenges for bringing untold truth for public discourses free of commercial or political pressure. We encourage independence of an artist who tackles complex issues and sensitizes other with unique point of view. CDDI in its year round endeavor, bring many such filmmakers of diverse culture and geography in a platform for mutual enrichment. We keep on discovering new talents, nurture & empower them by providing factual and artist knowledge, help develop skill, advance the co-production possibilities.
One of CDDI’s year-round activities is Documentary Workshop – a unique initiative to evoke quality discourses through intense exchange and workshop. This intends to create an awareness and exposition of high quality artist content of actuality storytelling among the young aspirant visual storytellers. The initiative aims at taking the artistic ways of reality storytelling to various regions and platforms. It bring renowned filmmakers and acclaimed documentary film with in-depth discussions on various genres, enriching mind with the creative visions of masters as well as encouraging them to delve into new ways of cinematically exploring real life issues they feel strongly about. This also finds a new audience with documentary temperament.
Bachpan Films Club:
BFC, Started by CINEYATRA in its bid to promoting art, culture and cinema, Bachpan Films Club (BFC) aims at bringing to mainstream the kids from the highly deprived sections. More than 100 children, mostly girls, are active members of the BFC. We do not charge any membership subscription fee.
The BFC, established at Patna in 2016, regularly organizes film shows screening motivational films targeting the kids from the said background. The second offshoot of BFC started at Jamnagar, Gujarat. We plan to take BFC to Mumbai and establishing the club there shortly. We aspire to turn children into students. It has been evident that most of the kids after being exposed to motivational movies exhibit an academic incline. Their acceptance of education has been seen to skyrocket rapidly.
